Applications are due by April 30, 2006.

Please feel free to make as many copies of the application form as necessary.

Announcements of scholarship winners will be made at the Northern New York Convention Business Session in June 2006. The winning applicant's check will be mailed directly to them after satisfactory completion of their fall semester's work. If you are a first year student, a transcript of the fall semester must be sent to the chairman of the Scholarship Committee Thomas Arsenault by February 15, 2007. Current college students can provide a current transcript with their application.

Applicants must be working toward a community related degree in order to apply (i.e. Core Education, Nursing, Fire Science, Criminal Justice, Human Health Service, Doctor or Pharmacy). Please be specific or provide a letter of explanation. This scholarship is renewable with a yearly application and is capped at your first four years of college. Scholarships range from $150 - $250 yearly.

The Applicant's associated fire department's membership in the Northern New York Firemen's Association must be paid by April 30, 2006. Failure of Fire Department to be a current member will disallow the application.

A letter endorsement from the associated fire department or organization must accompany the application at the time of submission of the application. The letter must state the applicant's relationship with the organization or a member in good standing of the organization that is endorsing the application.

All applications must be submitted in typewritten form or computer generated. No handwritten applications will be considered. We will accept only applications that are neat and have correct English. It is your responsibility to meet all the criteria for this application as it is a reflection on you. The committee looks forward to receiving these applications and the selection of the best qualified candidates. We thank you for participating in our scholarship program.
